Dr.Yoshihiro Kobayashi is working at the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE), and teaching game development courses as a focal coordinator of Gaming Certificate Program in the department of Computer Science. Dr. Kobayashi received a PhD degree with a major in Architecture and a minor in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2001. After completing this program, he worked at Arizona State University’s School of Architecture for 8 years teaching a series of courses for MS and PhD Building Science programs. At ASU, he completed several interdisciplinary research projects funded by NSF and advised MS and PhD students from various domains such as architecture, urban planning, design and art, electric engineering, and computer science. Outside of ASU, he has chaired more than ten symposiums/workshops and also organized an international research group with sixteen professors who are exploring methods for virtual reality (VR) and BIM (building information modeling).
